About Me

About Me

Originally from France, I’ve called North Vancouver home for 23 years. As a painter, my work has been exhibited and collected across Canada and internationally. You can also find my paintings through the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Art Rentals and Sales program and featured in various art books and magazines.

In recent years, my focus has shifted to ceramics. I create wheel-thrown pottery that blends beauty and function, often leaving raw clay exposed to highlight its natural elegance. My minimalist aesthetic draws inspiration from Japanese and Scandinavian design, celebrating simple forms, organic textures, and the perfectly imperfect nature of handmade work.

Beyond the studio, I’m passionate about fostering creativity in my community. I co-founded the North Shore Art Crawl, am leading a weekly life drawing group, and served on the North Vancouver Arts Council board for seven years. My blog, paintingdemos.com, connects with thousands of artists each month, sharing insights into the creative process.

I’m also a writer and have published three art instruction books, sharing my passion for making art accessible and enjoyable. I truly believe that creativity is for everyone and that art is a powerful way to express and connect.
